Josefa Mula, from our partner Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), chaired the invited session: ‘Extended reality and metaverse to address the social challenges of manufacturing and healthcare in the industry 5.0’ at the 18th IFAC Symposium on Information Control Problems in Manufacturing (INCOM 2024) held in Vienna from 28-30 August with 240 registered participants.
Josefa Mula presented the review article ‘Extended reality and metaverse technologies for industrial training, safety and social interaction’. Other SUN XR researchers, Vincenzo Croce (ENGINEERING) and Ioannis Paraskevopoulos (IGOODI), and speakers Thierry Coudert (University of Toulouse) and Igor Rybalskii (University of Tartu) also participated in the invited session.
